as did the sandwich. just a regular pastrami sandwich.... i wasn't really expecting much. i mean its pastrami... and i was a tad disappointed the bread wasn't grilled a little more.


until I took my first bite


seriously, this was the best sandwich EVER! the bread was so flavorful but not overpowering. i was a tad concerned since i have no clue what pumpernickel is, and that was the default bread. if you know me, i stay away from anything organic,vegan, natural, and .... just healthy cuz that stuff tends to be bland, grainy, and gritty. yuck! but this time around i was pleasanyly surprised! i still have no clue what pumpernickel is, but am now a fan. so much so i can say rye has NOTHING on pumpernickel!

and the Vermont cheddar, perfectly mild and melted!! and the pastrami.... good lord! it was more tender than pulled pork or slow cooked spare ribs and basically melted in my mouth.

i kid you not when i say best sandwich ever. seriously, i was in sandwich heaven!!!
